Safestyle Scamming
This afternoon, while I was making lunch for Lucy, the phone rang. Now we only have a phone because you need a BT line to get broadband, so the handset is pretty cheap and we tend not to give the number out. Only three people ever phone me on the phone, apart from the telephone scammers. I answered the phone but didn't immediately speak. A male native english speaker asked to speak to Mr or Mrs Kemp. I asked him who was calling. "Mr Kemp, I'm just calling from the local office of Safestyle to follow up a request for a quote." he claimed. B203 Started
My next Open University course (B203 Business Functions in Context) started at the weekend, and the books finally ; You can see from the picture both what the course covers and also that for the first time in the seven OU modules I've done the course books have not been produced by the OU itself. I'm not sure if that is just a peculiarity of this course or whether it represents a shift in OU policy. It could easily be a way to save some money. Anyway I guess I have some reading to get on
Merstham Cubs Racing Push Carts
Clark Pack team for the District Cubs Push Carts Competition #cubs (Photo credit: James Kemp) Today was the Reigate and Horley Cubs District Push Cart Racing Competition. We were down in Horley in a school playground in the rain, but we all enjoyed it immensely and we won a few races (although not enough to keep the trophy we won last year). Here are a couple of videos that I took of some of our races. Eight Year Olds Single Lap Race This was the first race that we won, and Lewis was pushing with Christopher steering.
