Imperfect – Scene 04 – Recce
Imperfect Recce Rosie and I found Cat at the studio where they both worked, she was still at work editing some of last night’s footage before narrow casting it to the subscription channels they contributed content to. Cat was surprised to see us both together, but offered us some coffee from the filter machine on the kitchen counter. I made some more coffee while Rosie filled in Cat on what we knew so far. The studio was an only very slightly converted two bedroom flat. The kitchen served as the main editing suite, as well as sometimes being used for making cookery videos. Book Review – Fortunately the Milk by Neil Gaiman
This is an unusual book review in that it is also an event review as well. I took my son (the day before his 8th birthday) to see Neil Gaiman and friends read Fortunately the on stage at Westminster Central Hall. It was an awesome evening, we arrived to find the place literally surrounded by Neil Gaiman fans, as the queue went all the way round the building. The general entertainment was every bit as good as the main event. We both laughed a lot at the introductory piece by Andrew O'Neill who really worked to warm us all up. He did a good line in geeky jokes, I particularly liked his line on Magneto on a Lilo. Imperfect Interrogation I was guided down two flights of stairs to an interview room in the high security bowels of the station. As I went down I idly wondered how many uncooperative criminals had fallen down these stairs. Moving to 64 bit Ubuntu
I decided, somewhat rashly, to give the 64 bit version of Ubuntu a try. Mainly this was because I got a very good deal on ebay for a Samsung Q320 laptop (four years old, but with a " screen with a better resolution than my netbook had). Installing 64 bit Ubuntu Installation was straightforward, I used the 64 bit ubuntu ISO file to create a bootable USB stick and then booted the machine from it. That took about five minutes to do its stuff, and left me with a dual boot with 32 bit Vista. Scrivener for Linux I did my usual and installed google chrome, calibre, filezilla and scrivener. Imperfect Deception Like all good agents, Charlie had a backup plan in case he was arrested. The crux of his plan was that the automatic surveillance needed to see him active over the next few days. He’s got a friend who is the same height and build as him. Sometimes he plays the part of Charlie when Charlie is off doing other things in other places. All of the cell members know him as Charlie Too. We needed to take Charlie’s terminal and some clothes to Charlie Too so that he could hang out in public and interact with the social networks. That way the world would still have Charlie at large, and hopefully the police would think that too. The sooner we got this going the better.
